May 2025 Sketch Challenge: Spring or is it?

Good morning
It’s time for The Outlawz May 2025 Sketch Challenge! Our challenge (located HERE). These days we are doing things differently than traditional sketch challenges … we are giving you a shape that must be prominent on your card or project along with a theme

This month the shape is a scalloped circle with a Spring theme and our lovely sponsor is Andrea from SheepSki Designs. You can find her ETSY shop HERE

I admit, I messed this one up, remembered the circles but forgot the theme and went on my merry way making this card!

But I like to think that coffee is a year round flavor?

Supplies: 5 x 7 card
Image from SheepSki Designs (Coffee) and printed on Hammermill Color Copy
Cardstock from The Paper Studio (Base)
Die from Spellbinders: Scalloped Circles
Design paper from Unity Stamps (Coffee Loving)
Ink from Tsukineko (Versafine Clair)
ProMarkers
Sentiment from Close to My Heart (You make me Happy)
Stash: Enamel Dots
Vellum from Stampin Up!

You can also check our Main blog (HERE) as well as our FanPage (HERE)

Thanks for stopping by!

May 2025 Color Challenge: Tic Tac Toe

Good morning!
A new Color Challenge has started at The Outlawz Challenges. You can check it out HERE

This month we have a lovely tic tac toe board for you to play around with!

Here is my card.
I used the far-right column from top to bottom. This is much pinker that I generally deal with. It’s not my favorite color so I tend to use it sparingly when I can but I'm not unhappy with how this turned out.

Supplies (5 x 7)
Cardstock from Stampin up!
Design paper from Momenta (Marbled)
Die: Unknown
Stash: Rhinestones

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to stop by our Facebook page and The Outlawz Challenge Blog for more challenges and Inspiration!

CIU Challenge 329 … So Sorry

A new Cut it Up Challenge has started. You can find the challenge HERE.

For these challenges, a die-cut is anything made with a manual or an electronic die-cutting machine. (Spellbinders, Cricut, MFT dies, Silhouette, etc.). Store bought die-cuts are also acceptable. Please note that handheld punches and/or paper-piecing DOES NOT count as a die-cut

I like having a few get-well cards on hand so this is my somewhat clean and simple So Sorry contribution!

The smaller feather is a bit thicker because I stacked several layers of heavy cardstock underneath the design paper to give it some dimension off the page.

Pro tip! If you like the colors but not the design of your papers, they are amazing to use for die cuts like this feather.

Card size: 4.25 x 5.50
  • Cardstock from Stampin Up!
  • Design Paper from DCWV (Amber Autumn)
  • Embossing folder from Stampin up! (Subtle)
  • Feather dies are unknown
  • Ink from Tsukineko (Versafine Clair)
  • Rhinestones from Stampin Up!
  • Sentiment from a Unity Stamp Company Grab Bag
Thanks for stopping and remember to stop by the challenge to check out all the DT projects and play along!

CIU Challenge 328 Stars with “C”

A new Cut it Up Challenge has started. You can find the challenge HERE.

For these challenges, a die-cut is anything made with a manual or an electronic die-cutting machine. (Spellbinders, Cricut, MFT dies, Silhouette, etc.). Store bought die-cuts are also acceptable. Please note that handheld punches and/or paper-piecing DOES NOT count as a die-cut

My start with a C card features cats!
I did a small bit of paper piecing to create a nice backdrop. Looks a bit like a starry night sky.

I used this card as inspiration for the layout. I just tuned it on it's side.

Card size: 5 x 7
Supplies
  • Design Paper by AVEC (Marble)
  • Die from Tutti Designs (Kitty Window)
  • Stash: Bling

CIU Challenge 327, Anything but a Card

A new Cut it Up Challenge has started. I'm a day late getting it posted but you can find the challenge HERE.

This challenge we are asking you to share your die cut creation that is NOT a card.

For my project I am using a die I’ve had for a while and finally pulled out to use making a couple of super cute trees that sit on top of a tealight. The die set itself does not come with a die to cut a strip around the votives so I had to figure that out myself!

 Supplies
  • Die from Sizzix (Tree Lights)
  • Metallic Cardstock from Bazzill
  • Tealights from the Dollar Tree
Thanks for stopping and remember to stop by the challenge to check out all the DT projects and play along!
