Garden's Fair ...

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth’s dark breast
rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.

The one that got away? ...

Fishing is the sport of drowning worms.  ~Author Unknown

Good morning Everyone!
Today is the start of a new color challenge for The Outlawz Challenges.
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps

Our Inspiration
This week our challenge to use at least 3 colors from the Olympic Flag with a sports twist of we want to use it.

Fishing is considered a sport by some ... personally, I think for most of those who partake it's an excuse to hang out on a boat or lake shore and forget the world around them.

The border punch I used create a flower but when using just one side, it made me think of splashing water. The fish is fussy cut and attached with a foam dot.

This card is 5.50 x 4.25

 SUPPLIES
Card stock: The Paper Studio & Stampin Up!
Punch: Border punch from EK Success
EF: "Tide" from Lifestyle Crafts
Inks/Pens: Copics
Stamps: "Fishin" & "Best Dad Ever" from Stampin Up!, Trout image unknown
Stash: Homemade enamel dots

Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts & Prayers ...

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.  ~Kahlil Gibran

Good morning Everyone!
Today is the start of a new color challenge for The Outlawz Challenges.

I found a tutorial on Pinterest on how to do one of the popular "drape" folds. I thought I saved the link but apparently not so I need to go a hunting so I can link back.

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps and I am using this image "Our Thoughts & Prayers Candle"

Like most of us, I am not fond of making sympathy cards, but they are a reality of life. I can not justify gifting someone with cards made from the heart only to hand them a store bought one during a painful time in their life. So I try to make these to have on hand for just those occasions.

Here is our inspiration picture.

Our challenge this week is to use pink, blue and gray with a fancy fold twist if we want.

SUPPLIES
Image: " Our Thoughts & Prayers Candle" from Bugaboo Stamps
Card stock: The Paper Studio & Stampin Up!
EF: "Swiss Dots" from ProvoCraft
Inks/Pens: Copics
Supplies: Rhinestones, Foam Dots, Adhesive tape

Thanks for stopping by!

Gratitude, A Fair Blossom ...

Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. ~Henry Ward Beecher

When fully dry, I fussy cut the image out and glued to another die cut which is turn is layered up with two other die cut ovals using foam squares.

Color affects us ...

Color affects us. Everyone should have a paintbox and a large box of crayons.
--- Dr. SunWolf, 2015 tweet, professorsunwolf.com ---

Good morning Everyone!
Today is the start of a new color challenge for The Outlawz Challenges.

Here is the Inspiration
This week our challenge is to use tral and two other colors.
I chose an olive green and a golden tan(?) color.

Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps and I am using this image "Life in Color"

I love peacocks ... I know their call can be rather disturbing but when I was growing up, my grandfather kept them on his ranch to serve as a natural alarm system. I can remember watching in awe when Mr. Male would fan out his gorgeous tail in an attempt to attract the fair ladies.
My grandmother would gather up his lost feathers and kept them in a vase in her living-room.
Ah - good memories!

This card is 5.50 x 5.50

SUPPLIES
Image: "Life in Color" from Bugaboo Stamps
Cardstock: The Paper Studio & Stampin Up!

Dies: "Flourish Trim" by Spellbinders
